Smith (nee Lloyd) before a legal debate in her suspension dispute with

Lord Dervaird withdrew from being an active Senator (Judge) of the
Court of Session after he was compromised with a possible scandal with
a perceived ‘rent boy’. Lord Dervaird now teaches as Professor John
Murray QC at Edinburgh University.

The Hon Lord Dervaird Professor John Murray QC
Lord Dervaird is a former judge of the Court of Session and Professor
of Company and Commercial Law in the University of Edinburgh. He was
Chairman of the Lord Advocates Committee on Arbitration reform and a
member of the Department of Trade and Industry Committee thereon. In
the last decade he has acted as arbitrator or chairman of arbitral
tribunals in 28 international cases as well as a number of domestic
cases and as adjudicator in a few cases.

Session in Scotland until 2004. He is a Queens Counsel and Vice
