Christ Ascended
by Brian K Donne

A study in the Significance of the Ascension of Jesus Christ

The renewed availability of this impressive work will be welcomed by staff, students and laity.  It will surely stimulate 'an increasing  awareness of our ascended Lord, to whom be all the praise and glory forever'.

Brian Kenneth Donne was born in St Albans in 1924  In 1948 he entered Cheshunt College, Cambridge, to train for the ministry. He served as a Baptist Minister in three pastorates in Derbyshire, Somerset and Wiltshire from 1954 until his retirement in 1989.

New revised and updated edition July 2009

Arthur of Galloway is a masterful example of research by J.E. Russell who describes himself as an 'active pensioner'.

The King Arthur legends were initiated by Geoffey of Monmouth in the 12th century - who according to Russell was 'one of the earliest examples of that undesirable breed - the British historical novelist.' Numerous books have resulted, all on the basis of this fiction.

Several writers have expressed the view that there was an historical Arthur 'of the North' and Russell set out to see if a real man could be traced while ignoring the fiction and make-believe.

The result is this book in which Arthur emerges as a Scottish leader who should be rated alongside Bruce and Wallace, although involved in internal rather than external wars.

Regularly I am asked who owns this site. Where is it hosted? How is it funded? Can I contribute articles?

I can answer that I do not own the site. It is hosted in Panama - though a mirror location is available in a similar out of the way place. The site is funded by donors (both large and very small) – and those of you who may wish to donate then please contact donations@martinfrost.ws

For suggested articles please forward these to

Finally, I would welcome any positive suggestions as to how this site should develop.
